You are met at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar by our local representative and transferred privately to your hotel in the Kuta area.
The evening is free to unwind, walk the beach and find dinner nearby.
Try to land in the afternoon — it leaves you the whole first evening for a sunset walk along Kuta beach.
Hotel pick-up at 09:00 and a drive to the calm, reef-protected water of Nusa Dua for a morning of banana boat, parasailing and jet ski.
In the afternoon we head to Uluwatu Temple, a sea temple perched on a cliff high above the Indian Ocean.
Included: the water sports activity pass, the Uluwatu entrance ticket and a full-day private car.
North into the cool highlands of Bedugul for Ulun Danu Beratan, the lake temple that appears to float on the water, then a photo stop at the split stone Handara Gate framed by mountains and rice fields.
The day finishes at Tanah Lot, the offshore rock temple, as the tide comes in at sunset.
Included: 10 hours of private transport plus all destination entrance fees. Bring a light layer — Bedugul is noticeably cooler than the coast.
Breakfast at the hotel, and then the day is entirely yours. Kuta for the Beachwalk and Kuta Square; Legian for Jalan Legian and Poppies Street; Ubud for Monkey Forest Road and the Traditional Market; or Seminyak for the flea market and the boutiques along Jalan Petitenget.
Bali is a genuine shopper's island — handcrafted wood, silver, textiles and art. Bargaining is expected in the markets and part of the fun; ask your driver what a fair price looks like.
Transfer to Ubud and straight onto the ATV trails — jungle track, river crossings and a great deal of mud.
The afternoon is spent at the Tegalalang rice terraces, with time to walk down into them and stop for coffee overlooking the valley.
Included: transport, destination entrances and the ATV activity fee. Wear clothes you do not mind ruining — you will get muddy.
An early start for the full-day Kintamani and Ubud loop: the famous Aloha swing out over the rice terrace and the jungle zipline, then the Ubud Royal Palace and the village workshops.
The afternoon brings the panorama over Mount Batur and its crater lake, with a coffee plantation stop and tasting on the way back.
Kintamani sits high and cool, with the best volcano views on the island — this is the day to have your camera charged.
Breakfast and hotel check-out, with half a day free for last-minute shopping depending on your flight time, then a private transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport for your onward flight.
