Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, for most nationalities — and both are applied for online before you fly. Indonesia issues an e-visa for Bali, and Vietnam issues one through its official government portal. Visa fees sit outside the package price, but once your trip is confirmed we send you the correct links and walk you through the application.
Bali is at its best from April to October — the dry season, with warm days and reliable sunshine. Northern Vietnam is most comfortable from September to November and again from March to May, when Hanoi, Sapa and Ha Long Bay are mild and clear. Both trips run year-round, and we will tell you honestly what to expect in the window you have available.
Private, for your party only. You get your own air-conditioned vehicle and driver, an English-speaking guide on touring days, and an itinerary that can be reshaped around your interests and your pace rather than a fixed group schedule.
Completely. The plans on each destination page are our recommended routes, not fixed departures. We regularly add or drop days, change hotel categories, swap activities and combine regions — Central Vietnam around Da Nang and Hoi An, or Ho Chi Minh City with Phu Quoc, instead of the northern loop. Tell us what you want out of the trip and we will build the route around it.
Quotes are based on 3 to 4 star hotels with daily breakfast, on a twin or double sharing basis. Higher categories, resort upgrades and single rooms are all available — just say which you would prefer and we will quote accordingly. If a named hotel is full, we substitute one of the same standard.
No — the package covers the land arrangements, so you are free to book whichever routing and airline suits you. We are happy to advise on convenient connections from Kathmandu, and can arrange flights on request.
