Yala Peak is the summit we recommend more often than any other to people who have never climbed anything. It sits above Kyanjin Gompa at the head of the Langtang valley, it is reached without a flight from Kathmandu, and the route to the top is a walk on snow with crampons rather than a climb — no fixed rope, no headwall, no exposure to speak of. What you get in exchange is entirely disproportionate: a 5,520 m summit inside two weeks, Shishapangma standing across the Tibetan border, and the whole Langtang Himal laid out beneath you. For a first taste of what altitude actually feels like, nothing else in Nepal comes close.
TerraBlaze runs this climb end to end: the NMA permit and park fees, the trek in, a fully staffed base camp, a licensed climbing guide and a climbing Sherpa on summit day, fixed rope on the steep ground and an evacuation plan filed before you land. You bring the fitness — we handle everything else.
