Trek Overview
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek is one of the most popular and breathtaking trekking journeys in Nepal. This trek leads you to the south face of Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m), the 10th highest peak in the world. The trail winds through dense rhododendron forests, traditional Gurung villages, and offers stunning 360-degree views of peaks like Machapuchare (Fishtail, 6,993m) and Annapurna South (7,219m). Standing in the natural amphitheater of the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by towering snow-capped giants, is the ultimate highlight of this adventure.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Thamel. The rest of the day is spent on trek preparation, equipment checks, and a welcome briefing with your guide. Overnight in Kathmandu (1,400m).
A scenic 25-minute flight brings us to Pokhara (800m). From there, a 2.5-hour drive takes us to Kimchi, where our trek begins. We hike for approximately 2 hours (2km) up to the famous Gurung village of Ghandruk (1,940m), offering spectacular views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.
We descend from Ghandruk through forests and cross the Kimrong Khola. After a steep climb, we reach the beautiful village of Chhomrong, which is one of the largest settlements and hubs in the Annapurna Sanctuary route.
We descend stone steps to Chhomrong Khola, cross the bridge, and climb up to Sinuva village. From Sinuva, the trail passes through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests, descending steadily to reach the aptly named Bamboo camp (2,310m). Approx. 5-6 hrs, 7km.
From Bamboo, the trail climbs steadily through alpine forests past Dovan and Himalaya camp into the high-altitude zone. As the Modi Khola valley narrows, we reach Deurali (3,230m), passing through areas that can be prone to seasonal avalanches. Approx. 4-5 hrs, 8.5km.
Today is the highlight of our journey. Walking steadily from Deurali, we first reach Machapuchare Base Camp (MBC - 3,700m). From here, another 2 hours of moderate climbing brings us to the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC - 4,130m). Here, you are surrounded by a colossal wall of 360-degree snow peaks.
After witnessing a spectacular sunrise over the peaks, we begin our descent along the same trail. We head back down through Deurali and Dovan to reach Bamboo. The walk is much faster and easier as we go downhill.
We trek from Bamboo back up to Sinuva and Chhomrong. From Chhomrong, we descend to Jhinu Danda (1,760m). Here, you can relax and soothe your sore muscles in the famous natural hot springs located on the banks of the Modi Khola. Approx. 5-6 hrs, 9km.
A short 1-2 hour trek from Jhinu Danda brings us down to Matque (1,070m), where we meet our transport. We then drive approximately 2.5 hours back to Pokhara. Enjoy a comfortable evening and celebratory dinner in Pokhara.
Travel back to Kathmandu by tourist bus or flight. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner in Thamel.
Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport according to your flight schedule. Depart with beautiful memories of Nepal.
